As an experienced project manager, bringing structure and order to chaos is part of the job description.

When I transitioned from an office job to a SAHM, I found myself looking for a way to use all the brainpower that I historically had aimed at tasks in the workplace.  Then an idea came to me – What if I ran my household like I ran my work life as a project manager?  Looking for ways to streamline and build efficiency, creating templates and tools to save time on recurring tasks, and creating structured action plans to keep things on track and on budget.

And so the experiment began…I looked at the best practices and concepts used in the business world and translated them to the tasks that we Home CEOs deal with daily -- meal planning, laundry, budgeting, chauffeuring kids to activities, even the dreaded grocery shopping!

At The Maximized Home, I’m sharing with you the insights and tools that have helped me optimize household management and give me time back in my day to spend with my family (and occasionally relax!)
